Meet Tanja Schmitz
When new colleagues join us, they bring a breath of fresh air. Their outside perspectives can provide refreshing innovative ideas to help us improve our existing procedures.
Tanja has been working for us as Senior Manager Key Partnerships for five months now (based in Munich).
Before joining our team, Tanja worked as Senior Manager Commercial Management & Partnerships (RTLZWEI), and as Key Account Manager for Tele5 (now Warner Bros. Discovery).
Q1: How did you find out about the latest job opening? And what prompted you to apply?
I’ve worked in ad focused digital business for different TV stations and was the contact point for smartclip for several years. The collaboration was always constructive and fun. That’s why I had been keeping an eye on smartclip (now RTL AdAlliance) for some time, and when my current position became available, I knew I had to apply. It was a perfect match.
Q2: Expectations are always there when starting a new job. What did you NOT expect to happen during your first five months with us?
There were no surprises, as my expectations were fully met and I am very happy it all worked out so well.
Q3: Thinking of your former work environments. What would you like to see implemented here as well?
In the end it’s the overall package that counts and for me it fits very well 😊. What I miss, is the option to take my dog to the office.
Q4: What’s something fun or interesting about yourself that your colleagues might not know?
I’ve worked for 5 different TV Stations: Super RTL, ProSiebenSat.1, Discovery Communication & Tele5 (now Warner Bros. Discovery) and RTLZWEI.
Q5: We just had the all-hands. If you could have any celebrity invited to our next company event, who would you choose and why?
Tennis player Carlos Alcaraz. He seems mentally strong, focused and like a very sweet, nice guy overall.
