A Yearly Highlight for small and medium-sized business advertising: The SME Summit 2024
In the third round of this event, the SME Team at RTL AdAlliance invited partner companies to join them once more at the RTL Deutschland headquarters in Cologne from the 5th to the 6th of November 2024. Old and new faces came together for keynotes and panels about SME advertising possibilities, utilising Addressable TV as well as fantastic networking opportunities.
The diverse panels centred around case studies, behind-the-scenes insights, personal experiences with ATV advertising and the ever-increasing potential of AI, with a focus on the German market. With over 100 exclusive guests, 18 engaging speakers and a star guest, the summit allowed everyone to resonate strongly with each other and form even more meaningful bonds. Content Highlights
Spanning two days, the summit was filled with a diversity of topics presented by Austrian, German and Swiss industry leaders. The first day contained both eye-opening panels as well as entertaining moments, the second provided further out-looks on the ATV advertising landscape and the usage of AI. In light of the fantastic sports events this year, the summit especially focused on sports content.

“Die Höhle der Löwen”
Katja Rieger (VOX) und Sabine Leopold (VOX) gave a glimpse behind the scenes of the popular show “Die Höhle der Löwen” (Dragon’s Den) together with guest star Amiaz Habtu, the show’s charismatic moderator. Their insights created a lot of laughter as well.
SME Marketing and AI
Patrick Hünemohr (Röser Medienhaus) gave a passionate talk about local SME marketing strategies in the day and age of ChatGPT, Google Geminini and Perplexity.

One of the highlights of the second day was RTL Deutschland’s CEO Stephan Schmitter who shone a light on the future of RTL and television.

About the event
This year’s summit boasted high-profile speakers, engaged guests and in-tense networking. As a homage to this year’s sports events, several sports panels brought in an extra bit of flair and helped to keep everyone curious as well as entertained.

The numbers are as high as ever
Once more welcoming over 100 guests, the SME Summit 2024 shone through its diversity of participants. It featured 17 panels lead by 18 specialized speakers and 5 moderators, a guest star, 9 awards and a humorous raffle. About 50 business partners joined this year.

The third edition of the SME Summit united old friends with new business partners. The familiarity of the participants led to intimate discussions, insightful topics and case studies revolving around everyone’s experiences with advertising via ATV. The mixture of behind-the-scenes panels, future perspectives, the rising importance of AI, but also the more entertaining presentations, helped to create an engaging networking atmosphere. The summit thus established itself as an important event for people to meet and anayse the German ATV market together.
