2024 - a year in Review
With the new year approaching closely, we wanted to take a moment to look back at this most enriching year. This year was all about simplification, which became one of our guiding core values.
We launched our new website to make our portfolio more accessible, created the Living Room Club to start a new personal way to connect with our partners and clients. Finally, we came together as a company during our offsite, which facilitated more direct communication and furthered our team spirit.
Take a stroll down memory lane with RTL AdAlliance to relive these unmissable highlights we are very proud of.
March: New Website
In March, RTL AdAlliance launched a new website. This significant update allows our full portfolio and products to be consulted online, making it easier for our partners and clients to access the information they need. The new website is designed with user experience in mind, featuring a clean, modern interface and intuitive navigation. It provides detailed information about our services, case studies, and the latest industry insights.
This launch marks a major step forward in our digital transformation journey, reflecting our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. We are excited to announce that wehave reached 100 000 visitors for 2024.
April: Living Room Club
April saw the first edition of our new and exclusive event series: "The Living Room Club". This event provided an opportunity for RTL AdAlliance's international media partners to network and exchange ideas, focusing on insightful discussions about market strategy and major industry developments.
This event is built on the basis of our research “The New Life of the Living Room”, where we have been analysing the viewing habits of European and US households.
Held at the Soho Hotel in London, the event was attended by notable partners, including major European broadcasters, Smart TV manufacturers, CTV platforms, leading global gaming publishers, and international industry experts.
The Living Room Club aims to foster a sense of community and collaboration among our partners, offering a relaxed yet professional environment to discuss the future of media and advertising.
May: WFA Global Marketer Week
In May, we immersed ourselves in the global marketing industry at Global Marketer Week 2024 organised by the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA). RTL AdAlliance was proud to sponsor this event, which took place in Toronto. It offered a premium experience tailored exclusively for international marketers, packed with discovery, inspiration, and invaluable insights from the industry's most inspiring minds.
The week featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, and workshops covering a wide range of topics, from digital transformation to consumer behaviour trends. Our participation underscored our commitment to staying at the forefront of industry developments and supporting the global marketing community.
June: RTL Beach 2024
June brought the excitement of RTL Beach 2024 at the Cannes Lions, the International Festival of Creativity. The event also highlighted our strategic vision of creating a European creative media hub, showcasing the strength and innovation of European media on a global stage. Our third-year hosting RTL Beach was marked by insightful panels, fruitful discussions, and fun parties.
This incredible week was filled with memorable moments: from supporting Die Mannschaft in full football gear to watching the Olympic flame walk down the Croisette. We danced the night away during our RTL Beach Party, took photos on the RTL cubes in the sand, and even tried on the sparkly Super Bowl Rings of Justin Reid. We are already looking forward to coming back next year to create even more unforgettable memories.
July: MAD//Fest
In July, we had an incredible experience at MAD//Fest, the UK's biggest, buzziest, and boldest marketing festival. The RTL VIP Roof Terrace was buzzing with excitement as more than 900 attendees and speakers mingled to network. Our exceptional team members took the stage, representing RTL AdAlliance with pride.
Carine Jean-Jean, our VP of Communications & Branding, inspired the audience with her leadership journey as a female industry professional.
Sebastian Busse, our Director of Partnerships Development, shared insights on finding the perfect harmony between linear and connected TV.
Jean-Baptiste Moggio, our Senior Brand Director, discussed how TV can be sexy again to revive media’s virtuous circle.
The event was a testament to our thought leadership in the industry and our commitment to driving innovation in marketing and advertising.
November: SME Summit, TV KeyFacts and IP Österreich
November was a busy month with several key events. At the RTL AdAlliance SME Summit 2024, we shared personal experiences with partners regarding the ever-changing ATV advertising landscape for small and medium-sized businesses.
The event featured eye-opening panels, keynotes, and discussions, and was rounded off with an NFL ticket raffle, an awards ceremony, and a dinner at TheASH. The summit highlighted our dedication to providing tailored advertising solutions for SMEs and fostering strong partnerships within the industry.
The 31st edition of the TV Key Facts celebrated the union of human and technological innovation. Esteemed speakers shared the latest trends and strategic insights from the world of Total Video, illustrating how technology can enhance emotional connections and reduce biases. The event underscored the importance of integrating human creativity with technological advancements to drive success in the media landscape.
We also deepened our commitment to digital growth and total video advertising by partnering with IP Österreich GmbH (RTL Deutschland). By mid-2025, our colleagues will be fully integrated into RTL AdAlliance, enabling us to connect international advertisers with Austrian audiences while providing local advertisers access to our premium portfolio across Europe.
This merger represents a significant step in our strategy to expand our digital capabilities and strengthen our presence in the European market.
Special Mention: VIA Lisboa
In November, we brought together our 250 employees from 15 offices worldwide for a 2-day event in Lisbon, representing Vision, Inspiration, and Action. Our CEO Stéphane Coruble and Deputy CEO Dr. Oliver Vesper presented a clear vision of our company's strategy, addressing questions submitted by employees beforehand. Several workshops focused on our core values - simplicity, collaboration, adaptability, and determination.
Our commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion was highlighted through talks by Ana Ndouop and Amiaz Habtu. Paralympic rower Lauren Rowles inspired us with her journey to becoming the only three-time Paralympic Champion in her discipline, and David Whigham, editor-in-chief of ntv, provided valuable insights into the role of journalists, content, and advertising in securing our democracy.
The event was a celebration of our achievements and a reaffirmation of our commitment to our core values and strategic vision.
What a year it has been! Thank you to all our partners, collaborators, clients, and friends who’ve been along for the ride! We are already looking forward to kick-starting 2025 with you!
