Individuals are at the core of our activity, therefore we recognize and value the trust you place in us when providing us with personal data and we are committed to: collect only data that is strictly necessary for the purpose for which it is collected; let you remain in control of your personal data and safeguarding the privacy and security of the provided personal data from users of the platform (“Platform”).

The Purpose of this privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") it to present to you the content of the collecting and processing of personal data and describe your privacy rights. This Privacy Policy address the following issues:

RTL AdAlliance is responsible for your data. As Europe’s Leading Total Media Sales Group, RTL AdAlliance is incorporated in several countries in Europe and in the United States of America and we have commercial presence in all continents, this lets us combine local knowledge with global experience to offer you the best service. RTL AdAlliance Group comprises RTL AdAlliance S.A., a limited liability company, registered in Luxembourg under number B114002 and its affiliated entities (affiliate or subsidiary undertakings) which are authorized to use the commercial name RTL AdAlliance ("RTL AdAlliance"). 

For the purposes of applicable data protection law and specifically the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act, your personal data will be controlled by the RTL AdAlliance entity that is providing you services or that is communicating with you, which is regarded as an independent data controller of your personal data. This Privacy Policy applies to all such entities.

The personal data we collect from you is the following:

• Identity data: surname and first name, copy of identity card if applicable, for the purposes of proving the exercise of a right of access, rectification or opposition or to comply with a legal obligation;
   
• Contact details: business contact details including job title and function, your organization name and postal address, your business e-mail address and telephone number (landline/mobile); 
   
• Financial information: invoice payment data and all relevant data provided in the course of the contractual relationship between your organization and RTL AdAlliance;
   
• Profile and usage data, collected mainly through cookies and tracers, including your preferences in receiving marketing information from us, your communication preferences and information about how you use our Platform, including the pages you visited, page response times, download errors, length of visits and page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs);
   
• Data relating to the monitoring of the commercial relationship: this data comprises requests for information, history of exchanges with the departments, etc.

RTL AdAlliance collects data for explicit, legitimate and specific purposes in order to ensure:
 

• To fulfill a contract, or take steps linked to a contract, with you or your organization, including:
   
  • Registering you as a client or commercial partner;
  • Providing the services defined in the contract; 
  • Processing payments, billing and collection, and 
  • Administering and managing our relationship with you, including accounting, auditing, and the performance of our contractual obligations with our clients and commercial partners.
     
• To conduct our business and pursue our legitimate interests, in particular: 
   
  • Providing up-to-date information about RTL AdAlliance, its services portfolio and media partners, evolutions of the advertising sector and events; 
  • Functioning and continuous improvement of the Platform, its services, functionalities and user experience;
  • Collecting information about your preferences to personalize and improve the quality of our communications with you, services improvement, market research and analytics;
  • Managing the customer relationship including customer’s support;
  • Managing your registration for events organized by RTL AdAlliance;
  • Managing your subscription to RTL AdAlliance newsletter;
  • Managing requests regarding our services and to download documents from the Platform; 
  • Managing of requests for rights of access, rectification and opposition, deletion, limitation, portability, right to digital death and the right to lodge a complaint with the corresponding data protection local authority;
  • Analyzing and improving our services and communications tools including the Platform, its traffic measurement, and development of commercial statistics; marketing campaigns, market analysis, or other promotional activities;
  • Monitoring compliance with our policies and standards;
  • Managing access to our premises and for security purposes, and
  • To exercise or defend our legal rights or to comply with court orders.
     
• To conduct our business and pursue our legitimate interests, specifically in the case of digital interactive advertising offers, RTL AdAlliance sells inventory of publishers and broadcasters displaying interactive advertising. In this context, the respective publisher or broadcaster collects the data that is processed by technical services providers (SSPs and DSPs). RTL AdAlliance will receive from publishers, broadcasters or technical services providers only anonymized data not permitting to identify you as individual. RTL AdAlliance will deliver the sold advertising space in its inventory through the technology platform of smartclip Europe GmbH (acting as SSP). Detailed information on the processing of personal data collected by the corresponding publisher or broadcaster and processed by smartclip Europe GmbH technology platform can be consulted here. The purpose of processing the personal data in this context is the following:
   
  • Provide you with a good advertising experience for you as a website visitor by delivering you accurate advertisements in the websites you visit.
  • Provide an efficient use of marketing budgets by advertisers placing advertising in our inventory. 

When using the Platform, your data are also processed by Seismic Software, Inc. and its affiliates ("Seismic") as our processor. More information on how Seismic processes data can be found here: https://www.seismic.com/legal/policies/privacy-policy/#h-1-what-does-this-privacy-policy-cover.

You may opt out oft he processing by contacting privacy@seismic.com as described in the respective Section of Seismic’s privacy policy reference above.

Under the terms of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) ("GDPR"), you have the right to demand, at any time, that we:
 

• Inform you of the personal data relating to you that we are processing (Art. 15 of the GDPR)
   
• Rectify personal data relating to you that is inaccurate (Art. 16 of the GDPR) and/or
   
• Erase your personal data (Art. 17 of the GDPR), restrict it (Art. 18 of the GDPR) and/or release it (Art. 20 of the GDPR).

  If you assert your rights towards us, we will process your personal data collected in this context to the extent needed to address your request. In this case your personal data is processed to meet a legal obligation on the basis of Art. 6(1)(1)(c) of the GDPR.

  Notwithstanding your rights under this Section, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority for data protection if you are of the opinion that the processing of your personal data by smartclip breaches the terms of the GDPR (Art. 77 of the GDPR).

We reserve the right to supplement and amend the contents of this data protection information. The updated data protection information applies from the date on which it is published in the Platform.
